Chemonics seeks a pharmaceutical business and marketing advisor for an anticipated multiyear USAID health initiative to reduce preventable deaths among vulnerable populations in Benin by increasing the use of high-impact reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health services and products delivered by the private sector. The initiative will focus on strengthening key health systems, building strategic partnerships to scale up and enhance the private sector network, and improving the quality of and access to health services. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support leaders at the national, subnational, and peripheral levels in strategy development and in activity implementation for strengthening pharmaceutical management
- Provide capacity building and mentoring to private sector stakeholders
- Conduct research and analysis of market, technologies, and customer trends and needs
- Provide and determine opportunities for product innovation and enhancement
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business administration, public health, social sciences, or a related field required
- Experiences in pharma-economics, pharma-policy analysis. or global supply chains and logistics, preferably in Francophone West Africa
- Strong background and solid understanding of pharmaceutical industry and business trends
- Minimum seven years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of QuintilesIMS pharmaceutical market data
- Experience working closely with multidisciplinary teams in developing countries
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to articulate a strategic vision
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Strong skills in writing and speaking French and English
